Neherrin River (North Carolina)

Welcome to the open spaces of one of the coolest, greenest and shadiest waters for fishing and recreation, which is deservedly considered a favorite place for fans of quiet and relaxed fishing. In addition to the abundance of catfish at night, players will be able to enjoy bass fishing with a spinning rod and small fish with a float.

Along the banks and in the holes you can also meet longnose gars or take part in a competition to catch the standard American herring. This is one of the most difficult competitions, the tricks of which are known only to experienced players. But you can always rely on luck or just relax in the refreshing shade of the trees of the mixed forest, watch the slow current and listen to the birds singing.

Locations:

  • Woody Enchantment. The river is covered with thick green thickets right up to the water’s edge. The old forest is full of life and wisdom and will allow a tired traveler to rest. In the shade of this place you can find an excellent sloping section of the bank to cast a float or learn how to effectively make spinning wiring and watch how a predatory bass attacks.
  • Great parking job. This ironic name arose due to the flooded old car, which has long been part of the local landscape. The location is distinguished by an abundance of fish species, at night you can try your luck on gar and catfish, on long casts it is worth competing in cunning and dexterity with the eternally hungry bass, which will not miss even the most insignificant catch.
  • Into the Rocky Blue. If you go downstream, you will see one of the best places on the reservoir, located on the rocky shore. Reflections of sun glare on the water, a light breeze in the treetops and splashes of fish on the water will give you harmonious and calm feelings.
  • Rubble of Old Times. A beautiful place with excellent fishing, filled with old legends. They say that once upon a time a successful man bought part of the land and wanted to fence off part of the coast in favor of his private property, depriving local fishermen of the opportunity to relax and earn money by catching good specimens. But by chance or mystical coincidence, after building a large beautiful house for summer recreation, storms began to occur frequently, and trees fell on the roof of the ill-fated mansion again and again. Having abandoned hope, the owner left and left everything in a ruined state. And fishermen today celebrate this location as a small victory of the forces of nature and justice over corruption.
